For his efforts towards moving the information sector forward and the track records of quality leadership, Zamfara state commissioner of information, Hon. Muhammad Sanda Danjari Kwatarkoshi deserves commendation and heavy applause.
A retired career civil servant and a seasoned administrator, Hon. Muhammad Sanda Danjari did perform creditably well in different spheres of Zamfara state since the creation of the state.
Each Ministry or government agency he worked with, he normally did all he could to leave behind some legacies he is often remembered for. That was how he encheared himself in the heart of different class of people he might come across of, hence he is seen as a good administrator with managerial skills.
Considering his intellectuality, the state Governor, Hon. AbdulAziz Yari Abubakar, following a minor cabinet reshuffle few months ago deemed Hon. Danjari Kotarkoshi as not only capable, but a hardworking and dedicated person fit to take the affairs of the state information ministry as commissioner.
Bearing in mind that the gentleman did well in piloting the activities of many organizations at different status before and after retirement, the government and people of Zamfara state were optimistic that deploying his services to the information sector of the state would bring positive change in that very significant organ of the state.
Immediately he assumed dutie as the commissioner in the state information ministry, Hon. Muhammad Sanda Danjari Kotarkwashi vowed to do what is practicable and wave into issues militating the progress of the sector, particularly with regards to the state own media outlets under the supervision of the ministry.
He first revived the ailing news medium published by the ministry (The Souvenir) which has been unable to go to press for many years but he was able to make it back to streaming.
In addition to enhancing the services of the state own radio corporation, Hon. Danjari however, paved ways for the steady transmission of Zamfara FM station 105.5 aired on the Zamfara radio air waves.
At the moment, he has made frantic move to relocate the information ministry to the permanent site of the ailing Zamfara state Television Services Complex, along Gusau -Kaura Namoda road where it is believed would make the Television house be much on very strategic location.
Necessary arrangements for the revival of the state own Television is already in advance stage.
Moreover, with the deployment of Danjari Kotarkoshi to the state information ministry, the staffers of the ministry and its agencies have been witnessing soccur ,be they are now made to be much productive, while journalists in the state have change from mere sitting journalists to more proactive working journalists. What an achievement?
Most importantly, as very vital as the Zamfara State Newspaper Publishing Company, ZNPC(Publishers of the Legacy Weekly) could not hit news stand since 2014, and no one that could make extra effort for its reactivation, until this very fragmatic commissioner by his leadership skills saw dream turn to reality.
He was able to gain the political will of the government in considering the importance of newspaper to the government and people of Zamfara state which culminated into reactivation of the organisation.
This is not a small achievement, because for an organisation such as the ZSNPC with about 115 staffs were made redundant, it would not urger well for the staffers and development of the state.
God so kind. Today, the Legacy Weekly newspaper is back on the street, thereby making this huge number of staff became very productive and making the organisation mere lively.
It was in the light of the above that, I feel very strongly, and with all pleasure too, that Hon. Muhammad Sanda Danjari Kotarkoshi deserves cheers.
